For 10 long seasons, Modern Living TV has traveled across the country and listened to different features from notable personalities and organizations, helping viewers get a weekly dose of positivity with wonderful lifestyle stories.
As we embark on our 11th season, more stories will unveil as our first episode starts with a bang from an inspiring story of a Mindanao chef recently hailed as the first-ever Solane Kitchen Hero, who aims to make Filipino food known in the international scene. Also, Bianca Gonzalez-Intal takes an interesting home decor shopping experience at furniture design and lifestyle company, Commune Home, then a hangout session at a relaxing coffee shop called Drip Cafe.
COMMUNE HOME AIMS FOR SUSTAINABILITY
Bianca brings viewers to an interesting tour around Commune Home, a furniture store that can make any home look regal while helping the environment in its own little way. The international-based company advocates for sustainability as it uses eco-conscious wood and timber imported from sustainable sources abroad. This is a store that eco-lovers would definitely enjoy.
DRIP CAFE’S OH-SO-YUMMY COFFEE
Coffee enthusiasts would definitely feel heaven on earth upon entering Drip Cafe with its good coffee and relaxing ambiance. The cafe has been gaining good reviews online as the store suits perfectly for people who demand some me-time once in a while.
MINDANAO CHEF IS FIRST SOLANE KITCHEN HERO
As Solane staged its first-ever nationwide cooking competition, a bubbly chef named Roseller Fiel II from the very southern part of the Philippines wowed the judges with his deconstructed Tausug dish of chicken pianggang, burnt coconut, toasted coconut, and coconut cream, armed with his wit and determination.
Chef Roseller won among all the talented chefs from all regions of the country and fought his heart out in a very long day along with his advocacy of “making local global.”
